I use to write movie reviews until I realized they actually ruined my movie watching experience no matter how good or bad the movie was.
While I was watching a movie, I would analyze the plot, critique the dialog and curse the CGI. Also coupled with the burden of trying to find something funny or witty to spice up my reviews while I was watching a movie, I could no longer enjoy a movie as a film buff. My suspension of disbelief was circumvented by too much my thought, so I decided “movie recommendations” were the way to go.
